These wingless, brown parasites are a real and prevalent problem in the U.S. They’re nocturnal, about the size of an apple seed, and feed exclusively on blood—preying on warm, sleeping bodies at night. They can cause itching, bites, welts, anxiety, and financial distress.
It’s important to be aware of your surroundings when you travel and to avoid bringing unclean items into your home (and unwanted critters with you). If you find bed bugs in your home or business, take immediate action by calling your local pest control company to deal with the problem promptly.
Bed Bug Detection
How does Springer detect the presence of bed bugs? We send in the dogs! Sonny, Chucky, and Brighton, our bed bug detectives, can detect very low infestation levels. It’s crucial to detect bed bugs as soon as possible, before the infestation spreads throughout your property. Our dogs are highly trained and certified by the National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association (NESDCA) to track specific scents to give you faster, more accurate results than humans can.
If we detect the presence of bed bugs in your home or business, don’t panic; we have a proven solution to effectively control all signs of bed bug life.
Bed bugs can’t survive in temperatures over 120° Fahrenheit. However, we take the extra step of raising the temperature to 135–150°. In a relatively short amount of time, bed bugs, at all stages of development (even those hidden deep within cracks and crevices), will be controlled, and you’ll be free to re-inhabit the premises after a short 6–8 hours.
Springer Professional Home Services focuses on creating an unattractive environment around your home or facility for pests so they have no desire to stay or return. Effective pest control begins with exclusion. Simply put, if pests can’t get in, they will go elsewhere!
In conjunction with exclusion principles, our QualityPro-certified technicians will create an unattractive, yet environmentally sensitive, barrier around any structure. Only Springer can provide you or your staff with a wide variety of training sessions for all pests and techniques on controlling your environment.
Springer’s Bed Bug Preventive Warranty Program
We offer our residential and commercial customers a superior warranty program that eliminates the need for future heat treatment. For a fixed monthly rate, we will visit your home or building at regularly scheduled intervals to make sure your bed bug problem is under control.
This program can include monthly inspections by our NESDCA-certified canine department, a preventive treatments program for bed bugs and general pests, and much more.
