What Do Hornet Nests Look Like?
Hornet nests are gray, paper-like, layered constructions of chewed wood. Youโll often find hornet nests up high in trees, under awnings and overhangs, and in open outdoor areas like sheds. Their hives might contain many more hornets than they appear to, making hornet hive removal a daunting task.ย
Here in Iowa, we most often deal with bald-faced hornets. If youโre worried about the possibility of a hornet nest forming in your yard, keep watch out for large, black-coated, stinging insects around your home. Finding a hornet nest warrants an immediate call to your local hornet hive removal experts.
